British eccentric design meets the Japanese tradition
Who I am
Masa Inaba is a Tokyo-based graphic designer and typography enthusiast originally from Japan. He graduated with a BA in Digital Arts from the University of Oregon, U.S.A. After moving back to Tokyo, he had worked as a creative director in an advertising company. He had run major recruit campaigns for the likes of Ricoh, Nomura insurance, SONY, Hitachi, and Nikkei.
After he had run these projects, he decided to move to London to pursue his passion for graphic design. While he was studying MA Graphic Design Communication in Chelsea College of Art and Design, he launched Art Glossary Magazine with Lio Yeung to create a platform for artists and designers to discuss definitions of art and to share ideas and experiences. Since 2011, Masa has worked for Thomas Manss & Company as a graphic and web designer. After returning to Japan, he has been working for AKQA Tokyo as a senior designer.
